This policy explains how YesGenie collects, uses, stores, protects, and manages personal data for account access, Make a Wish submissions, trip planning, communication, and related travel services.

Data We Collect

Depending on how you use YesGenie, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, Firebase login identifier, and login/session data.
  • Phone number, Instagram ID, gender, year of birth, calculated age, city of work, and occupation, including homemaker as working status.
  • Make a Wish quiz responses and saved wish details submitted through the website.
  • Trip interest, waitlist, inquiry, communication, support, payment, refund, or cancellation information where relevant.
  • Device, browser, IP, log, cookie, and preference data when essential site tools or consented analytics/marketing tools are used.

Why We Collect It

We use personal data for account creation, authentication, dashboard access, trip planning, group suitability, customer communication, personalization, safety, service operations, legal compliance, and dispute handling.

Marketing communication, remarketing, tracking pixels, or non-essential analytics are used only where we have consent or a lawful basis. We do not sell personal data.

Firebase & Third-Party Storage

YesGenie uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, to store account and wish data. Wish submissions are stored under the logged-in Firebase UID, for example users/{uid}/wishQuiz/current, with submission records also kept within the same wishQuiz subcollection for account-level history and support.

We may also use service providers for hosting, communications, payments, analytics, advertising, customer support, or operational tools. These providers are expected to process data only for permitted service purposes.

Data Retention

Account and wish data are retained while your account is active or while needed for trip planning, legal, financial, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, or compliance purposes. When retention is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or restrict the data where reasonably possible.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, consent withdrawal, or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, payment, tax, and dispute-resolution requirements.

Security Measures

We use Firebase Authentication, access-controlled Firestore rules, HTTPS hosting, user-specific data paths, and operational access controls to reduce unauthorized access risk. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should keep passwords private and use trusted devices.

Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Payment, refund, and cancellation details are handled according to the published trip terms and the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Payment processors may process payment information under their own policies.
